Let me introduce you to Amy and her husband from ScheilDesign!
Amy and I went to high school together. That was a long time ago
. Then, we lost track of each other after graduation. Now, more than 20 years later, we meet again on Facebook and Etsy! What a small world!
Tell us about your crafting / artistic journey
My crafting journey was a happy accident. I have never been creative, very practical and unimaginative, but was inspired to make something for my mom for Christmas. Once the idea to make the drink stakes came to me, more and more followed. Unfortunately I don’t seem to find the time to make half of the things that I think of!
What techniques do you use most?
I work mostly with metal, so I usually use leverage to bend it the way I want. I am not comfortable with melting it at this point.
What do you like most about your craft?
I like meeting new people at the markets I go to and seeing how many amazing talents they have.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by practical things that I can’t find. They are usually “why hasn’t anyone made something like that’?
In addition to my creations, my husband is overflowing with ideas and new artistic pieces which help give some variety to our store.
Where can we buy your creations?
We sell our wares on www.scheildesign.etsy.com
